Enter Key Control — Privacy Policy

1. Overview & Single Purpose

Enter Key Control is a browser extension developed by NEXT7. Its sole purpose is to allow users to customize keyboard shortcut behavior in supported AI chat editors (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, and Copilot)—specifically allowing Enter to insert line breaks and Cmd+Enter / Ctrl+Enter to submit prompts.

2. What Data We Process & How It Works

• Local Keyboard Handling: All keyboard interception and newline insertion occur entirely within your local browser runtime. The extension does not record your keystrokes, does not read your prompt text, and does not record your chat conversations.
• Settings Storage: Your preferences (such as global enable/pause state, per-site pause toggles, and language preferences) are stored strictly using Chrome's extension storage API (chrome.storage.sync and chrome.storage.local). Chrome may sync these settings across your signed-in browsers.
• No Tracking or Analytics: The extension contains zero third-party analytics SDKs, zero advertising trackers, and zero telemetry beacons.

3. Optional Problem Reports

Submitting a problem report is completely voluntary. When you explicitly choose to click "Send report", the extension transmits only diagnostic metadata you approve:

• The active AI service hostname (paths and queries are stripped);
• The problem category and your voluntary feedback text;
• Extension version, browser version, OS platform, and interface language;
• A random request ID to prevent duplicate submissions.

We strictly advise users not to include sensitive personal information or passwords in bug reports.

4. Chrome Web Store Limited Use Disclosure

• We do not transfer or sell user data to advertising networks, data brokers, or information resellers.
• We do not use user data for creditworthiness assessment or targeted marketing.
• We do not use keystroke or browsing data to train generalized AI models.
